Dorchester Parents Group raises funds to purchase equipment and host events and day trips for residents from the Bransholme area in Hull.  The Neil Hudgell Solicitors Trust funding will contribute towards running an arts project for young people, their parents and the local community.  The project will involve 50 young people, 50 parents and 30 elderly people from the local community.

On hearing about the funding Patricia Bowers from the Parents Group said: “The Children are really looking forward to starting the art project after Easter and showcasing our art around the school.”

Below are photographs of the beautiful banners that were produced with help from all generations. each of the banners was based upon a theme; Flower Power, Sci-Fi, Multicultural and Environment. Well done to everyone who took part. We think they’re stunning.

Patricia Bowers has provided the following feedback on the project and its success;

“People who were reluctant to take part in activities/projects by the school or BCAE now feel more confident about joining in with other groups. This project has helped many people form friendships and improve self esteem.”
