What is an NHS Investigation Report and what can you expect from one?
These reports are produced by NHS Trusts following an investigation into a serious incident which occurred during a patient’s medical care.
They can highlight lapses in treatment and organisational systems, such as appointments not being sent out.
Reports should also identify steps to be taken in order to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
Listen to Samantha Darwin, a senior solicitor at Hudgells, explain how, for some patients and their families, investigation reports can successfully lead to a medical negligence claim.
Righting Wrongs is a podcast from Hudgell Solicitors – easy listens and easy guides to medical negligence, personal injury and civil compensation claims.
We’re refreshingly down to earth.
