I enjoy helping my clients through what can often be a really difficult time.

I aim to ensure the legal process is as straightforward as possible and will update them as their cases progresses. I find it very satisfying when we achieve a result that will make such a positive difference to their lives.

Get to Know Rebecca

Rebecca has been working in personal injury legal claims since 2011 and handles cases involving injuries as a result of road traffic accidents, including representing people in claims to the Motor Insurers’ Bureau, which compensates victims of accidents caused by uninsured and untraced drivers.

Rebecca joined Hudgell Solicitors in 2014 and she also represents clients who have suffered injury due to unsafe environments and surfaces, and those injured at work.

Rebecca also represents members of the British Armed Forces with their Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS) claims.

Career Highlights

I secured £18,500 in damages for a man who suffered a back injury when working for a caravan manufacturer. He suffered four fractures to the transverse process, part of the back where muscles and ligaments attach to the spinal vertebrae, when falling from a set of plastic steps which had insufficient grips to make them safe.

He was unable to return to his job and took redundancy. The damages claim sought compensation not just for his injury, but also for loss of earnings, loss of pension and to recompense for care and assistance.

I also finalised a five-figure compensation settlement for a woman who suffered a broken jaw when thrown off a ride at a fair. My client had to spend four days in hospital and needed metal plates inserting into her face. She also required psychological support and thousands of pounds worth of dental treatment as a result of the injuries she suffered.

In another recent case, my client was knocked of his bicycle as he went to collect his child from school. The motorbike rider involved in the hit-and-run was never traced, nevertheless I was able to successfully secure almost £18,000 in compensation for his personal injuries through the English Motor Insurers’ Bureau (MIB).

I help out at Hull East Foodbank, which is run by a former Hudgells’ client, and I also volunteer at the Hull KR family fun day.
