I’m passionate to work in a profession that continues to inspire me and allows me to explore different ways of engaging with colleagues and making a difference. My role, and that of my team, is to present people with an opportunity to be the most successful version of themselves.
Get to Know Michelle
Michelle first joined Hudgell Solicitors in 1998, just six months after the firm was founded, and not only has vast experience of the business, but has played a huge part in the firm’s development throughout its first two decades in the role of Head of Operations.
During this time, the firm developed from a small local business into a national law firm representing clients across England and Wales, and with offices in Hull, Leeds, Manchester and London.
In April 2022 Michelle became Chief People Officer, as part of a restructure of the executive team, alongside Executive Chairman Neil Hudgell and Chief Executive Rachel Di Clemente.
Now, in her day to day role, Michelle is responsible for leading the HR Department and overseeing the execution of the business’ people strategy. This includes finding a balance between improving the culture of the company which benefits our colleagues whilst aiding the Executive Team to develop a successful and profitable business.
Career Highlights
I’ve been proud to play a significant role in many of Hudgells’ milestone moments over the past three decades, from the growth of the business from a local law firm to a regional standing, and then becoming a nationally recognised leader.
I’d also say the current period at Hudgell Solicitors is a career highlight, as it is incredibly rewarding seeing the business doing so well and being recognised, which is having such a positive impact on so many people’s lives. That’s what we set out to do, and what we have become renowned for.
Giving More
I’ve been extremely proud to be part of the great community programme which has been run at Hudgell Solicitors over the years, and the impact of the Neil Hudgell Trust, which has donated hundreds of thousands of pounds to deserving charities and individuals. We have made, and continue to make, a hugely positive impact on the communities we serve.
