Expertise and key strengths
A key strength of mine is building good relationships with all of my clients. I appreciate it can be a daunting process for many people and I like to support clients throughout the claim as much as possible.
I have good attention to detail and I feel a real strength of mine is dealing with cases in which liability is denied. I enjoy challenging the Defendants on their position and evidence and it is very satisfying when this leads to a successful outcome in a case.
I studied Law at the University of Hull and went on to complete my Legal Practice Course at The College of Law, York. I started work at a local law firm in 2011 where I began my Training Contract. I joined Hudgell Solicitors in October 2014 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2015.
Proudest professional achievement
I am particularly proud of a recent settlement that I secured for a young cyclist who had received serious injuries in a road traffic accident. The case was quite lengthy as the client had to undergo multiple surgeries and a number of medical reports were required to fully assess all of the injuries sustained in the accident. I was really pleased with the outcome of this case and securing a substantial settlement for this client.
The two cases which I have won at trial in which liability was denied have also been a particular highlight for me.
Friendly, supportive and professional, couldn’t ask for more.
My advisor and the file holder was Kirsty, who proved to be a very friendly, professional and honest lady. She was very prompt to reply any queries and provide support whenever I needed. She organized my physio sessions and medical tests very efficiently. Not only that, she provided me with a lot of emotional support . She was always ahead of me when it came to progressing the claim.
