Karen is adept at calculating financial losses as a result of injuries suffered, including future losses.

I feel it is paramount that our clients have confidence and complete trust in us to protect them and their case. This is one of my key strengths. Given we take over a large number of cases from other firms as a result of acquisitions, it is incredibly important to provide a personal service, and this is something I know we do very well and I am very proud of. I am someone who is prepared to take on the cases where causation of injury can be difficult to establish, and it is really pleasing to get a good result for clients who have been told they can’t be helped by other firms.
I have successfully dealt with very high-profile cases involving people in the public eye who have been involved in accidents, both involving road traffic and injuries at work. This included a boxer who was injured in the kitchen at his workplace and lost a finger. This had a significant knock-on effect on his boxing career and he was unable to compete for some time.
A highlight of my career to date was securing compensation for two world champion ice skaters to include the sum of £50,000 for loss of congeniality. They were injured and suffered broken bones on the ice due to matting on the floor and missed the next world championship as a result.
I was also proud of the immediate positive impact we made when taking over a case from another firm and representing a young man who suffered extensive long-term physical and psychological injuries following a serious road accident .When we took over the case rehabilitation support had been minimal but we quickly ensured a rehabilitation specialist was in place, and a dedicated team of supporting specialists, to ensure he had the help he required in all aspects of his life.
