Expertise and key strengths
I have worked within the legal field for 6 years in various job roles which have allowed me to progress to a Litigation Assistant. My career with Hudgell Solicitors has enabled me to build relationships with our clients, advising at a professional level which is easy to understand. I take pride in getting to know each client so that I am able to fully support them throughout the claims process and understand their individual needs and requirements.
I began working for a local family law firm in 2011 where I completed an apprenticeship NVQ in business administration and a distance learning level 3 diploma in Law. I also worked as a legal secretary in a corporate law firm prior to moving to the new claims department at Hudgell Solicitors in January 2014. I moved to the civil liberties department in 2016 where I began to handle my own case load of claims against the police and offer a helping hand to other colleagues within the department.
Proudest professional achievement
I am proud of all of the work we do in the Civil Liberties department. However, in particular handling an unlawful arrest claim involving two parties who were continuously denying liability and blaming each other for an error which resulted in our client’s arrest. I was able to secure evidence which established liability with the party who was at fault, which meant that we were able to bring the case to a successful conclusion.
