Get to Know Helen
Helen joined Hudgell Solicitors in 2019 and has been instrumental in raising both the firm’s national profile and strengthening its relationship with clients. She leads a marketing team responsible for all brand activities, internal and external communications and public relations, along with events.
Helen also manages our New Claims department, which is often the first time clients will discuss their case with a member of our expert legal team, ensuring they receive, from the start, the best possible information, advice, care and support. Helen is also responsible for lead generation and conversions and client onboarding.
Since joining the firm, Hudgell Solicitors has been consistently listed in The Times 200 Best Law Firms and has also received multiple awards for its customer experience, mostly recently the Lexis Nexis Client Care Award 2023, further cementing its national reputation for excellence.
Helen also oversees the firm’s external communication strategy which has ensured that its work representing clients involved in the Post Office IT Horizon scandal, the Manchester Arena terror attack and the inquests of the victims of serial Killer Stephen Port is represented in national news coverage.
Strong community relationships are an essential part of the Hudgells’ brand and Helen ensures support continues for local community rugby clubs and the Spinal Injuries Association. Previously Helen held senior roles in the sports marketing industry.

Giving More
I’m an active ‘Old Hymerian’ having gone to Hymers College in Hull. I’ve previously been president of the association and I continue to be involved in the college’s work experience program, careers evenings, assemblies and law society talks.
I’ve also helped raise funds for Hudgells’ chosen charity partners over the years including the children’s charity Candlelighters, running a half marathon for the Special Stars Foundation and hosting a charity golf day for the SIA.
I also play netball for my local team Chevrons and I’m involved with Hull KR rugby league club, managing sponsorship.
