Expertise and key strengths
I deal with a variety of medical negligence cases including delayed diagnosis of cancer, dental negligence, surgical errors and misdiagnosis cases which have resulted in fatalities.
My strength lies in my communication with my clients and trying to keep the process of medical negligence claims as simple as possible to ensure minimal amount of distress during what can be a difficult claims process.
I started my legal career at Hudgell Solicitors in 2010 as a legal secretary, I worked with senior solicitors within the firm which allowed me a great understanding of the claims process and the opportunity to appreciate what client’s want from someone dealing with their claim. I started studying for my legal qualifications with ILEX during this time and moved to the New Claims Department and then on to the Clinical Negligence Department in 2015 where I have continued to develop my skills and knowledge.
Proudest professional achievement
Achieving favourable outcomes for my clients brings me great satisfaction however I am particularly proud that I can bring a conclusion to what has been a difficult time in my client’s life.
One of my personal highlights reaching a satisfactory conclusion for a family who lost their loved one to sepsis. Whilst no amount of money will ever make up for the loss of their dad helping the family with the claim and knowing that I have done everything possible to hold the hospital accountable made me proud.
