My clients have usually had a successful clinical negligence claim and my role is to balance and budget the award to allow them to get back to as normal a life possible. I often become a trusted friend, helping families with supported futures.

Get to Know Eve

Eve is a specialist Mental Capacity / Court of Protection Solicitor managing the property and affairs of adults and children through the Court of Protection where clients do not have the capacity to manage their own.

Eve has been working as a Private Client / Court of Protection Practitioner for more than 13 years and has worked with several panel deputy teams in the North and the Southwest of the UK.

Eve acts as a Professional Deputy, Attorney and trustee and she also deals with capacity loss through age-related conditions and clients with learning disabilities. Eve manages client cases nationwide and works alongside the Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury teams at Hudgells to provide a seamless service post-injury.

Career Highlights

As a specialist in managing the proceeds of birth injury and cerebral palsy cases most of my clients have significant disabilities and needs so acting as their Professional Deputy is an honour, and it comes with great responsibility as settlements can be in excess of £10m.

Managing compensation for an acquired spinal and brain injury ensures my clients can be supported by a 24-hour team of carers and a case manager who do a wonderful job providing the best possible quality of life.

My cases mean I also act for children who have received large awards for injuries at birth and we are able to purchase and adapt suitable property to make life more manageable.

Creating environments tailored to my clients’ specific needs can make a world of difference to their enjoyment of their future lives.

Each client is hugely important and it’s very much a team effort to achieve the best outcome for a son, daughter or other family member. It’s a real privilege to coordinate case managers, therapists, financial advisers and see clients and their families flourish.
