Expertise and key strengths
I have worked within the legal field for almost 10 years in various job roles. I pride myself in being open and honest with clients whilst still being able to lend a sympathetic ear. Through my work, I deal with clients who have sadly lost a loved one as a result of negligence, or where people find the act of the negligence itself hard to come to terms with. I have an approachable and caring attitude, I’m able to summarise the legal process effectively for my clients, ensuring they fully understand what the claims process will entail. No matter how big or small the query, I’m happy to answer all questions regarding making a claim, and deal with each of my clients with kindness, sensitivity and respect.
Shortly after university, I took my first full-time job as a receptionist at Rapid Solicitors. After about a year and a half, I became a Litigation Assistant, which involved assisting fee earners with their caseload. I then began working on my own cases. I joined Hudgell Solicitors in July 2014, firstly working in the new claims department and then getting my own case load in April 2015.
Proudest professional achievement
Being able to bring closure to clients when their claim is concluded; not just by way of compensation, but by achieving an outcome that is satisfactory for them. Bringing a claim allows clients to confront what has happened to them, get answers as to why it has occurred and enable them to move on with their lives. Being the person that is able to instigate that journey and bring the matter to a conclusion is what drives me as a fee earner.
I will be recommending a family member to yourselves due to the good service received.
Excellent service. I would use again and recommend others.
I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to your company for the handling of my claim, especially to Emma who always handled my case sensitively and professionally… I am very grateful for all the time and effort you have put into finally concluding my long case. I feel I can look to put it all behind me and move on positively.
