Expertise and key strengths
I handle a wide variety of clinical negligence and dental negligence cases, but have a particular interest in claims relating to birth injuries and the nervous system. I have extensive experience in handling claims for children who are brain damaged at birth, or as a result of failures in NHS care. I handle claims for people who have had poor care for conditions requiring brain or spinal surgery, or who have had substandard treatment for neurological conditions such as spinal cord compression. I also have experience in fatal accidents and am developing my expertise in gynaecological and oncology cases, particularly the misdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis of cancer, having recently been instructed in a number of claims involving these issues. I am also bilingual in English and Punjabi.
I completed my training at the Dental Law Partnership in Nantwich, Cheshire, and qualified as a solicitor in 2011. I then moved to Henmans LLP where I assisted the head of the department with a number of acquired brain injury cases as well as having my own case load. I joined Neil Hudgell Solicitors in the London office in October 2013.
I graduated in Law at De Montfort University in 2006 (LLB (Hons)). University of Law, Birmingham – Legal Practice Course (LPC).
Proudest professional achievement
Clients often come to me not only with fears for their future as a result of their injury, but also often very self-conscious and traumatised by what they have been through. Such cases would include failed mastectomies and injuries that prevent them having close and personal relationships. Nothing I do can change what has happened to my clients, but it is of great satisfaction to me when they receive fair compensation and can look to a future in which they have the financial resources to meet their needs.
