Solicitor, Clinical Negligence
Dimple qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and has extensive experience in cases relating to birth injuries and the nervous system, including leading many claims on behalf of children who are brain damaged at birth, or as a result of failures in NHS care.
She also handles claims for people who have had poor care for conditions requiring brain or spinal surgery, or who have had substandard treatment for neurological conditions such as spinal cord compression.
Dimple also has expertise in supporting people who have suffered due the delayed diagnosis of cancer, in gynaecological and oncology cases, as well as dental negligence.
Clients often come to me not only with fears for their future as a result of their injury, but also often very self-conscious and traumatised by what they have been through. Such cases include operations such as failed mastectomies and injuries that prevent them having close and personal relationships. As solicitors we are fully aware that nothing we can do can ever change what has happened to our clients, but it is of great satisfaction to me when they receive fair compensation and can look to a future in which they have the financial resources to meet their needs, and can look to rebuild their lives as is best possible.
I represented a women who lost her baby after picking up a virus when pregnant when she was just 18 week pregnant. My client knew she was at risk of being infected when her son was ill and that it could impact on her baby’s health but health officials didn’t act quick enough and there were delays in her being referred to an Obstetrician for a fetal ultrasound scan and ongoing management. Had that happened, it is likely that abnormal results would have been spotted, and with appropriate treatment it was likely her baby would have been born healthy. In such cases bereaved parents want investigations and answers. It is important to them to know they could have done no more, and that lessons are learned from tragic circumstances.
