Legal Executive, Personal Injury
I deal with all areas of personal injury law including road traffic accident claims, accidents at work, accidents in shops and/or restaurants and also claims against, for example, hairdressers and beauty therapists.
I deal with cases ranging from soft tissue injuries to broken bones to amputations arising from accidents which can have been quite frightening and also result in a psychological reaction. Often, people with such injuries can find themselves absent from work and suffering from financial hardship as well as an inability to go about their normal day to day lives whether due to physical or psychological restrictions. This can be extremely upsetting and frustrating for clients. I like to think that I am sympathetic and empathic when dealing with clients who find themselves in such situations.
Proudest professional achievement: My proudest case so far was when representing a man who lost fingers in an accident at work, but the employer initially lied to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and emergency services about how the accident occurred. I had to go back to the HSE and ask them to re-open their investigation and I ended up with an admission and compensation for my client.
