Bringing an appeal against conviction in relation to the Post Office Horizon scandal can be an emotional and daunting experience for our clients.
My role is to provide understanding and reassurance as we carry their appeals forward.

Many of the clients Abby represents have been wrongly convicted by The Post Office Limited as a result of its faulty computer system.
Bringing an appeal many years later can be an emotional roller coaster and Abby’s role is to guide former Sub-Postmasters through the appeal process.
Abby’s legal career spans several years and in 2021 she was part of the Hudgells’ team that assisted in overturning 31 convictions and the further ones that followed.
Career Highlights
The case ’Hamilton & Others v Post Office’ dealt with the overturning of 31 wrongful convictions and it was a very proud day for me and our Civil Liberties team.

I help out at Hull East Foodbank which is run by a former Hudgells’ client, and I’m also signed up for the Hull 10k to help raise funds for another local charity, Hull’s Woman Aid.
