Abby has worked in the legal sector for over 24 years. She has handled a variety of cases prior to joining Hudgell Solicitors, including road traffic accidents, employers liability, public liability and housing disrepair.
As well as working in fee earning roles, Abby has held to position of a manager where her team facilitated injury cases that happened as a result of road traffic accidents.
Abby joined Hudgell Solicitors in June 2020 to work with Neil as a dedicated litigation specialist on the Post Office Horizon IT Scandal.
Working for Hudgell Solicitors gives me a feeling of pride and purpose. It is a great team to be part of and one that works together for the good of our clients.
The clients I work with on a daily basis have had their lives destroyed by the Post Office so it has been a great privilege to be able to work with our supporting legal teams to get the results these people so deserve. Helping these ordinary people get justice and enabling them to finally clear their names will always be a life time achievement for me.
Getting the Judgement on Friday 23rd April will be a day they, and I, will never forgot – it was a day that will be there in history and that is a wonderful achievement for me personally.
The journey continues as more Subpostmasters come forward.

I found Abby to be very open, honest and professional when assisting me with my claim against Post Office. Over and above her professionalism is Abby’s “human touch” which has been invaluable in helping me through this very traumatic process, in particular the kind words and moral support which made me strong enough to attend the Court of Appeal.~ Allison Henderson
I think it is nearly a year since we first chatted on the phone and Zoom, first of all, you are a very hard working lady, always polite, helpful, very knowledge, putting us at ease, listening to our worries, very down to earth, approachable, always putting us in the right direction. You have been a “Rock” to us as a family. Thank you for ALL your hard work and dedication to helping me quash my conviction, and always being a good listener at the other end of the phone and Zoom, eternally grateful to you. Keep the good work going. Diolch o Galon \ Heartful Thanks. ~ Noel and Sian
