Biker awarded injury damages as legal case saw driver who hit him found 100% at fault for crash

A motorcyclist with almost three decades of riding experience suffered a serious injury to his shoulder when hit by a car which swung out into his path without warning when he was overtaking standing traffic. The full scale of the biker’s injuries were not discovered until sometime after his accident, as although no bones were broken in the accident, he did suffer a tear in his shoulder which required surgery.

The legal process

Hudgell Solicitors secured full admissions in this case and insurers on behalf of the driver admitted 100% liability, despite it being a ‘filtering’ accident where the biker had been passing queuing traffic.
Such cases can often be disputed by defendants in terms of liability.
The support of Hudgell Solicitors included a number of sessions of physiotherapy.

Settlement

As well as covering the cost of physiotherapy sessions, the claim also resulted in a £15,851 damages settlement for our client.
