Further recognition of Hudgell Solicitors’ high standing in the legal industry has come with the inclusion of key departments and lawyers in the 2023 Chambers and Partners legal guide.
The annual publication ranks the top lawyers and law firms in over 200 jurisdictions across the world and is considered to be amongst the most thorough and independent on the market.
Each ranking is based on the in-depth research, taking into account feedback from counterparts in the legal sector, as well as clients about their experiences when represented.
Hudgells have been included in the departments section for Clinical Negligence and Travel Litigation, with lawyers who specialise in Civil Liberties and Human Rights, Inquests, Personal Injury and Public Inquires also ranked as individuals.
Owner and Executive Chairman Neil Hudgell, who is ranked for his work representing families at Inquests, is hailed as ‘a force incredibly committed to his clients’ interests’, with the guide also saying that he ‘does an amazing job on the biggest inquests.’
Head of Civil Liberties Vicky Richardson is also listed for her inquest representation work and described as ‘excellent, smart, incisive and considered in her team leadership’, and for delivering on law whilst being ‘responsive and approachable.”
Joint Head of Clinical Negligence Chris Moore, who is included in the guide for a second year in succession, is hailed a being ‘right at the top of his game’ with ‘nothing ever too much trouble’ for clients, whilst Associate Helena Wood is also ranked and described as being ‘very approachable’ and ‘dedicated to clients’.
Solicitor Paul McClorry, who heads the firm’s Travel Litigation department, which represents people seriously injured abroad, is ranked for the 11th year in succession in recognition of his work in acts cases of catastrophic injury, holiday illness and Montreal Convention cases. He is described as being ‘very professional, but at the same time approachable’ by clients who were contacted by researchers.
Finally, Terry Wilcox, Manager of Public Inquiries at the firm, is also ranked in the Public Inquiries section, with his ‘client-focused and professional approach’ recognised, alongside his ’knowledge and compassion’ which is described as being ‘second to none’.
Recognition of ‘exceptional legal talent across the firm’
Hudgells’ Chief Executive Rachel Di Clemente said: “This is another really strong endorsement of the firm, our key departments and lawyers which once again reflects how we place client care at the heart of all we do.
“It follows similar success in the Legal 500 Guide which was recently published, and is recognition of the exceptional legal talent we have across the firm.
“We have a team motivated by a desire to fight for our clients, to standing up for the vulnerable, and to give a voice to those seeking justice.
“Those are the values which underpin all we do, and it is why we are winning increasing industry recognition in these highly-respected legal guides.”
