Hudgell Solicitors is proud to support many community events, fundraising and awareness campaigns across England and Wales each year.

Our involvement ranges from acting as major sponsors and providing much needed financial support to our staff actively taking part themselves.

We are particularly keen to support events close to our offices in London, Leeds and Hull, and with charities working to improve the lives of others.


London Legal Walk

Proud to be one of the 700+ teams that will be taking part in the London Legal Walk in support of access to justice. We have a number of walkers participating in this years event which raises funds in support of over 100 organisations in London and the South East each year, helping them provide much needed free and pro bono legal advice to those in need.

Yorkshire and Lincolnshire Awards for Excellence in Disability Sports

With around 400 guests including Chris Skelley, the Hull-born judoka who competed for Great Britain at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, this will be the biggest awards night yet. Altogether 18 awards will be presented and Hudgell Solicitors are proud to sponsor the Champion of Champions Award.

Date: Friday 1 June

Time: Dinner will be served at 7.30pm and will be preceded by a drinks reception.

Ace Cafe Bike Night

Hudgells Solicitors and Ace Cafe have formed a partnership for 2018 which marks their 80th anniversary. We have joined forces with the Ace Cafe team at their monthly bike nights on the first Friday of each month from April to September, building a stronger relationship with the biking community where we will run surgeries, advise people and offer one-to-one counselling, as well as bringing in outside organisations and charities who have shared interests in the motorcycle field.

European Neuro Convention

Members of our legal team will be on our stand at the convention talking about the rehabilitation and support clients get throughout their case with Hudgells Solicitors and beyond. Joined on the stand by Paul and Ali from PAUL For Brain, who will also be making an appearance in a talk about the charity –  ‘A Blueprint for Success: Community Based Support for Brain Recovery’ – and the importance of community support during the recovery phase following brain injury.

OCHO Fundraiser

A project in 2017 aimed at encouraging gifted and talented pupils in the performing Arts through the production of Ocho, the story of eight men from Hull who went to fight in the Spanish Civil War. The project saw BAFTA-winning playwright Jane Thornton gave her time freely to write and direct, working with local historians and relatives of the eight men to weave together the story. We are now proud to support the fundraiser which will be held to raise funds to enable students to fulfill their course.

Insurance Post Claims Awards

Leeds-based Samuel McFadyen has been shortlisted in the ‘Unsung Claims Hero of the Year’ Award at The Claims Awards 2018, in recognition of the hugely influential role he has in ensuring his clients benefit from the very best rehabilitation support at all times. Judges for the awards were seeking individuals whose achievements had made a crucial mark on the business they work for and are appreciated by their employers for the impact they have.

Humber Half Marathon

Since 2016 Hudgell Solicitors and The Neil Hudgell Trust have been major sponsors of the Humber Bridge Half Marathon – an event which raises thousands of pounds for charities and good causes across the region. Since our support began the event has grown and raised runner numbers each year, secured television and newspaper coverage, and become one of the biggest and most popular events on the local sporting and national running calendar.

Time: 9am until the last runner finishes.

Venue: Starts on the bridge approach.
