Personal injury and medical negligence specialists Hudgell Solicitors have celebrated the rebranding of the business – which has been aimed at reflecting the firm’s growing national standing – by being shortlisted for two major legal awards.
A phased rebranding of the business from Neil Hudgell Solicitors to Hudgell Solicitors has now been completed nationally.
The launch of a new modern, fresh look coincides with the firm’s shortlisting in two categories for the 2015 Yorkshire Legal Awards, a prestigious event which recognises the very best legal talent across the region.
It has also been confirmed that the national rollout of the rebrand has marked the end of the Rapid Solicitors brand at three offices in Hull, following the purchase of the business in October of last year.
Managing director Neil Hudgell said that decision had been taken to ensure Hudgell Solicitors, which also has offices in Leeds and London, has a single identity moving forward, and a clear message in terms of its work, with its focus increasingly around handling high-value, complex cases of personal injury and medical negligence.
“The rebrand of the business is very important as it reflects both the growth of the firm from a regional operation to one of national standing, and the fact that we are now increasingly recognised as a firm providing the very best representation and support to those who have suffered serious injuries,” Mr Hudgell said.
“The purchase of Rapid Solicitors last October was very important as it further strengthened our personal injury position in the north of England. However, moving forward, we are very much focussed on our national growth, and for that it is important that we continue to develop the respected Hudgell Solicitors brand which is firmly associated with a dedication to rehabilitation-led client support.”
The rebrand comes as Hudgell Solicitors celebrates being shortlisted finalists in the Law Firm (1-10 partners) category of the Yorkshire Legal Awards, whilst Neil Hudgell has also been shortlisted for the Managing Partner of the Year.
Launched in 2000 to recognise outstanding talent across the region, the awards are a key date on the legal calendar. Categories of awards cover everything from the biggest corporate firms to leading barristers, and senior partners to rising stars, with the winners set to be announced in October at a glittering black-tie affair, at New Dock Hall, Leeds.
“To be shortlisted for an awards event which recognises the very best legal talent across the whole of Yorkshire, in all areas of the legal profession, is testament to the expertise we have at the firm and the quality of service we provide to our clients,” Mr Hudgell added.
“To be held up as an example of best practice to others in our industry across Yorkshire, where there are so many great legal firms, is a great honour, and something all of our team can be very proud of.”
The shortlisting at the Yorkshire Legal Awards is the latest industry recognition for Hudgell Solicitors at major events.
The firm’s medical negligence team was highly commended in the recent Modern Claims Awards, whilst Legal Executive Jane Woodcock was a finalist in the in the ‘Outstanding Case of the Year’ award in the 2014 Personal Injury Awards.
Locally, the Neil Hudgell Trust, which provides financial grants of up to £2,500 to support small groups and projects having a positive impact within their community, was named the winner of the ‘Community Spirit’ Award, at the Hull Improvement District (BID) Awards.
