Hudgell Solicitors is seeking to further cement its position as one of the country’s fastest-growing personal injury and medical negligence specialists and is currently recruiting for new ‘senior positions’ at the business.
Over the past 12 months the firm, which has offices in London, Leeds and Hull, has doubled in size to now represent around 10,000 clients at any one time.
It recently secured a high-profile addition to its team when recruiting Rosamund Rhodes-Kemp, one of the country’s leading medical negligence specialists, to head-up its ambitious expansion plans in the capital.
Now, managing director Neil Hudgell has revealed her appointment will be followed by a move to new, bigger premises in Fleet Street this October, on the back of a focussed recruitment drive over the summer to add more senior fee-earning staff with similar expertise and experience.
“Over the past 12 months we have focussed on progressing the firm from what was mainly a regional operation to one of national standing, with London being vital to that,” Mr Hudgell said.
“We have been successful in doing that, but once again, we need to push on and grow the business further. That was the reason we brought Rosamund in to lead our London operation. We have an excellent team there, who have been performing very well on many high-value medical negligence and personal injury cases for us.
“However, we don’t want to stand still in any areas and we are determined to grow at pace in the capital. Rosamund’s experience will help us to do that.
“Now, we want to add more similar experience across the business, in all of our offices, to ensure we continue to grow. Our ambition has been to establish ourselves as one of the UK’s most trusted and recognised personal injury and medical negligence specialists, and we feel we are well on our way.
“To achieve that ultimate goal though, you always have to be willing to grow, and you always need to be looking to add quality members of staff to the team to improve your own expertise, and the service we provide to clients.”
Mr Hudgell says posts are available in all three of the firm’s offices, with the recruitment drive coming as the firm has rolled out its rebrand nationally.
After close to two decades as Neil Hudgell Solicitors, it is now known simply as Hudgell Solicitors, with the ongoing focus being around the increasing amount of work it handles involving serious, life-changing injuries.
Its teams now manage a host of multi-million pound damages cases at any one time, with work including cases around birth trauma and negligence leading to cerebral or Erb’s palsy, cases of hospital and care home neglect and major surgical errors and misdiagnosis.
Hudgell Solicitors has a track record of not only securing impressive settlements, but also has a reputation for putting rehabilitation and client support at the heart of every case.
