It’s been a busy month for Hudgell Solicitors in the community with staff raising almost £2,000 in June for Candlelighters, the firms charity of choice for 2019.
‘’Staff are getting really involved this year and it’s been wonderful to see such a positive response from staff; fundraising ideas just keep on coming and coming ’’ – Jo Hudgell, Neil Hudgell Trust CEO
Staff from both the Hull and Leeds offices are getting involved with fundraising for Candlelighters, who support families with children with across Yorkshire.
Sarah Kidd from the Hull office ran her first ever 10k whilst her colleague Helen Saunders took on a 15,000 ft skydive. Danielle Gaylard and Michelle Nurse from the Leeds office completed the abseil challenge during Candlelighters Pink It Up week on Saturday 8th June.
Every week, staff raise money from dress down Friday’s with all donations being matched by the firm, which has been happening since the start of the year.
Last month Andrew Crisp ran the half marathon and this weekend, Katie Barrass, Laura Larkin and Tasmin White will be putting on their running shoes to take part in the Leeds 10k.
We are delighted to be sponsoring the Candlelighters new fury mascot, which is something the Charity have been wanting to introduce for a while now. There is no doubt the friendly elephant will be a popular face on the Children’s ward!
Now it’s time to name the mascot and we would love to hear your suggestions so click here to give your thoughts on what we should name our fury friend!
