The Legal Case

Our Personal Injury team was contacted by the client and a claim for damages was submitted to the insurer of the driver who had caused the accident.

The insurers accepted their insured driver’s responsibility for the accident.

Medical records were obtained and used to negotiate a £12,000 damages settlement, which reflected the pain, suffering and loss caused to our client.

The case was settled without the need for a court hearing within a 12 month period, despite being brought in a year that was significantly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

Hudgell Solicitors comment

Rebecca Cone, Personal Injury specialist, said: “We see many cases like this where a moment’s lapse of concentration can cause an accident on the road which causes injury, which in turn brings a lot of pain, discomfort and distress.

“In cases like these, it’s not just the pain of the injuries that people may suffer from, but also the worry of getting back on your feet financially after any inevitable time needed off work, as well as the impact on day-to-day life. I was pleased that we were able to secure compensation for our client to help her recover from this accident.”
