Many holidaymakers have reportedly returned home from breaks at the Holiday Village in Cala Millor, Majorca, complaining of sickness, diarrhoea and vomiting – a major concern give the resort caters mainly for families with children.
Most tellingly, holidaymakers have not only complained of general poor hygiene, but specifically of vomit in the swimming pool not being properly cleaned before the pool was re-opened to guests.Used by leading holiday company First Choice, it is no doubt a popular choice with holidaymakers, but recent TripAdvisor reviews would suggest it suffers from many hygiene issues commonly found at many ‘all inclusive’ resorts.
Some of the recent reviews posted have included:
“restaurant Mediterranean was awful reheated food”
“Sadly we had some concerns with the hygiene of the food due to all 4 of us including my 1 year old daughter came down on our last night with severe sickness and diarrhea [sic.]”
Of course, this is a severe concern for those returning from the Holiday Village, and those still in residence.
