About the Role

Who we are looking for

We are looking to recruit a Solicitor / Legal Executive with at least 2 years of personal injury experience to join our growing Serious Injury department in our prestigious Manchester office. You will work as part of a well-established team on a variety of serious injury claims. You will assist lawyers in the team on cases involving road traffic accidents, employer’s liability claims and public liability claims.

The successful candidate will have a track record of progressing personal injury matters, will be supported by the Serious Injury department and will be joining a friendly team that works collaboratively to deliver the best results for our clients.

What you will be doing

You will work as part of a well-established team on a variety of serious injury claims. You will assist lawyers in the team on cases involving road traffic accidents, employer’s liability claims and public liability claims. The work will involve:

  • Speaking with and advising clients.
  • Reviewing evidence and records.
  • Drafting letters of instruction, court documents and Instructions to Counsel.
  • Attending conferences with Counsel and court hearings.

What you will need

  • A minimum of 2 years’ personal injury experience.
  • Experience with serious injury claims is preferred but not essential.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent client care/ service.
  • Ability to work sympathetically and effectively with a wide range of clients with differing needs.
  • Ability to scrutinize and fact-check both internal and court reports.
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with colleagues and clients alike.
