Personal injury and medical negligence specialists Neil Hudgell Solicitors have been recognised for high standards of practice and expertise by their national professional body The Law Society.
The company has undergone a series of strict assessments to achieve Lexcel Accreditation which is recognised as the legal profession’s gold-star quality mark. Lexcel is an optional, recognised accreditation scheme for law firms and in-house legal departments which gives assurance that a practice meets high client care and business management standards.
Lexcel is a major endorsement which gives clients reassurance that they’re in trusted, professional hands with their legal case.
To gain and retain Lexcel accreditation, a practice must go through a rigorous initial testing and then annual application and inspection processes to ensure that it has the very best practice in client care, file and data management and complaints handling.
Neil Hudgell, Managing Director of Neil Hudgell Solicitors, said: “I am delighted we have secured Lexcel which is a nationally recognised endorsement of the high standards of client care and best practice we have been achieving for many years.
“There are many major changes happening within the legal profession at the moment which makes it an extremely competitive sector to operate in. To have achieved this accreditation, which stands us apart from our competitors, makes us extremely proud and is another reason for clients to choose to use our services.”
Lucy Scott-Moncrieff, President of the Law Society of England and Wales, said: “Gaining and maintaining Lexcel is no mean feat. There are many facets of being a Lexcel accredited law firm, including client care. A commitment to customer service in today’s evermore competitive legal services market is vital.
“By undergoing the rigorous Lexcel application and assessment process, practices can show the positive steps they are taking to help clients in the increasingly diverse, complicated legal services market.
“The scheme is a beacon of quality to clients and potential clients alike.”
All Lexcel accredited firms are committed to:
- Protecting client confidentiality
- Communicating clearly with clients about their cases
- Being upfront with clients about costs
- Keeping clients regularly updated about the progress of their cases
- Dealing affectively and professionally with complaints.
The Lexcel Accreditation is the latest award for Neil Hudgell Solicitors, no win, no fee lawyers specialising in compensation claims for personal injury, medical negligence and professional negligence. The business employs 100 staff at offices in Armley, Leeds, and three offices in Hull – on Holderness Road, in Kingswood and on Princes Avenue.
Earlier this year Neil Hudgell Solicitors achieved inclusion in the Headway Head Injury Solicitors List 2013, meaning the company can display the Head Injury Solicitor logo – which is seen as a benchmark of expertise – on all its communications. Each of the solicitors featured on the list agrees to work within the Headway Personal Injury Lawyers Code of Conduct covering areas including legal knowledge, expertise and client satisfaction.
The Code of Conduct ensures that all legal firms included have the relevant experience in the field of brain injury and that anyone using the Headway Personal Injury Solicitors List to choose a solicitor can have confidence in the quality and expertise of their chosen firm and its commitment to addressing their particular needs and circumstances.
Last year, Neil Hudgell Solicitors also achieved special “accredited” status from the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) has been fighting for the rights of injured people for 20 years. A not-for-profit campaign organisation, APIL’s 4,700 member lawyers (mainly solicitors, barristers and legal executives) are dedicated to changing the law, protecting and enhancing access to justice, and improving the services provided for victims of personal injury. Over the years APIL has grown to become the leading, most respected organisation in this field, constantly working to promote and develop expertise in the practise of personal injury law, for the benefit of injured people.
Being accredited means four Neil Hudgell Solicitors demonstrate consistently high standards of client care; continuously develop staff skills through up-to-date, specialist training; follow comprehensive and documented procedures for quality assurance; and are monitored by APIL to ensure standards are maintained.
