A senior clinical negligence solicitor at compensation claims specialists Hudgell Solicitors has been named as one of the leading UK experts in a newly published guide to best legal talent across the globe.
Chris Moore has been named Personal Injury and Brain Injury Claims Lawyer of the Year in the 2016 Lawyer Monthly Legal Awards, an annually published list of world-leading law firms and individuals whose expertise enable them to ‘flourish and succeed for clients’.
Only 30 individuals were named from the UK in the awards, published today, including Mr Moore, who is joint head of the Hudgell Solicitors’ clinical negligence department, based at its Hull headquarters.
Lawyer Monthly says the awards have named ‘the finest talent’ in the legal sector globally, recognising individuals who ‘go above and beyond to manipulate their expertise in order to achieve what some deemed impossible.’ The selected winners provide ‘outstanding service’, it adds.
Handed the award for his expertise in handling high-value cases such as birth and brain injury, Mr Moore’s long-held position on The Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel, which only includes solicitors who can demonstrate extensive knowledge, skills and experience in dealing with high-value and complicated injury cases, and a track record of securing seven-figure settlements for his clients, influenced his inclusion.
A delighted Mr Moore said: “It is very pleasing to be featured in a publication which is widely respected and highly-anticipated each year within the legal sector and to be named the leading brain injury claims lawyer is an achievement I am very proud of.
“I believe my inclusion is a reflection of our focus at Hudgell Solicitors to achieve the best possible results for our clients, many of whom have suffered serious, life-changing injuries and require the very best legal expertise to ensure they have the support they need to enjoy the best possible quality of life.
“Hopefully my selection for this award reflects to our clients the standing within which the firm is regarded in terms of its clinical negligence and serious injury expertise, and the results it delivers for its clients.”
The award for Mr Moore comes at the end of a highly successful 2016 for Hudgell Solicitors, in which other leading members of its legal team have won acclaim for their expertise and results.
Senior solicitor Matt Tuff, based in the firm’s London office in Fleet Street, was named Claims Professional of the Year at the national Modern Claims Awards, recognising his achievements and success in supporting people to rebuild their lives having suffered catastrophic injuries, such as brain and spinal injuries.
Group Head of Legal Practice Amanda Stevens was also handed an ‘Outstanding Individual Achievement’ prize at the Rehabilitation First Awards, for which the firm was also highly commended.
Neil Hudgell, managing director of Hudgell Solicitors, said the increased recognition reflected the firm’s standing in the industry.
“It is great to see our legal experts winning the recognition they deserve as we have worked really hard to attract and develop the very best teams to serve our clients across England and Wales,” he said.
“People who have suffered life-changing injuries, and those around them, are aware that they need the very best legal expertise.
“When they look at our team and our track record, they can see a track-record of leading the way, making a difference, and putting the rehabilitation of clients first. That is why we are repeatedly securing such significant recognition now.”
